I do not like the new Tumblr dashboard, which forces me to see all the posts of the tumblelogs I'm following in the dashboard view. That used to be optional. How is the removal of this option progress?

And is anyone using the channel feature? Are you finding it useful?

Is Tumblr trying to morph from a platform for stream-of-consciousness blogs to some kind of social networking site?
